FAQ

How does therapy work?
It is a process that we’ll collaborate on. I believe by studying a family history, we determine what “medicators” and relational patterns you developed.

After the initial couple of sessions, we will further discuss traumas, available community supports, and “dig in” to Dr. Carnes Task Model of therapy or other appropriate courses of treatment. You will be asked to do some homework assignments in order to process feelings in certain life areas.

Where are you located?

My address is: 800 Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette, LA 70508. Please text me at (615) 925-0456 when you arrive.

What are you fees? Do you accept insurance?

I offer 50-minute sessions for individuals at $150 per session. Payments can be made with cash, check or credit/debit card.

Often, clients choose to use an HSA account as well. This can be done for those that have debit cards attached to the account. Clients pay for each session at the time of service.

I am on several EAP panels, and this can be discussed if you are referred to me.

For those that would like to file for out-of-network reimbursement, a receipt can be provided with all the necessary codes and diagnostic information.

What is your cancellation/missed appointment fee policy?
Payment in full ($150 or negotiated rate with your insurance company) is expected for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice. Please note you will not be rescheduled until these fees are paid in full.
How do you schedule appointments?
In order to make the most progress, a client needs to be engaged in a regular routine of appointments (weekly or biweekly). I can be flexible and work with clients to establish such a schedule.

I have office hours by appointment only. To schedule a time, please call (615) 925-0456 or email me at george.comeaux@gmail.com. Please provide your contact information and whether I can leave a message.

I will respond in 24 hours on business days and set up a time to speak to you by phone for a free 10- to 15-minute consultation. If I am filing insurance for you, I will provide contact information for my billing person.

What do I bring to the first session?
Just bring yourself, and I am excited to meet you!

I will email all forms for you to print out, complete, and bring to the first session. I only ask, if I’m filing insurance for you, that you email my billing person with your name, date of birth, address, and all information on your insurance card, prior to the first session for benefits verification.
